Hi,

I know, have a 2 year old female pug. He was asking me I had ever experienced any problems with iams dog food. He said that the breeder had started Jewel on Iams and that he left her on the Iams food until Jewel was about 14 months old. At that time he switched to the adult Iams food, but Jewel started to develop red rashy spots all over her body. He switched her back to the puppy Iams and the spots went away. She is now 2 years old and he is not sure what to feed her. I expressed concerns because Jewel will not be getting the proper nutrition on a puupy food. The rash sounds like a allergic reaction. Has anyone experienced such a problem? Remember, we are from Canada and many of the foods I see posted here, are not available here.
